Heart Research UK/Ethan's Gift 'Heart and Soul' charity event raises £2000

On Saturday 2 March more than 100 guests turned out for an evening of Northern Soul music at a charity event in aid of Ethan's Gift/Heart Research UK. The event, named 'Heart and Soul' took place at C.O.B.S, Calthorpe Old Boys Club in Digbeth, Birmingham. The event was organised by Andrew Marshall, father of the late Ethan Marshall who died aged three years old.

Along with other family members  and friends the night was a great success  which was due to the fantastic music played by the DJ`s who gave the crowd what they wanted. The event raised £2000 from a charity raffle and auction and donations from those who came along.

Andrew thanked his guests for their support and complimented the many who dressed for the occasion. Those who travelled from as far as Hartlepool in the N E of England were not disappointed.  All proceeds will go towards funding projects at The Birmingham Children`s Hospital Cardiac Unit.

John Lloyd, Midlands Regional Manager, HRUK, quoted:  "Andrew and his guests really rocked the house, what a lovely trip down memory lane.  Ethan was well remembered and was well supported. The generosity of all those who came along reflected just how much they cared".

Following the success of this event, another is being arranged for September 2013.  For information and tickets Please contact: Heart Research UK in the Midlands- Tel 0121 454 1799 or by email at midlands@heartresearch.org.uk
