Fore! Heart Research UK Midlands annual charity golf day a roaring success
Heart Research UK Midlands hit a hole in one with their annual charity golf day, raising over £5000 for local projects
12 Teams from organisations across the Midlands battled it out in a 18-hole tournament at Great Barr Golf Club, Birmingham, with the event kindly sponsored by adi Group.
The overall winners were adi FE with a score of 88, bagging themselves winners medals, signed special edition prints from Sue Howells, and the Nick Bill Memorial Trophy. The trophy was donated by John Bill, a patron of Heart Research UK in memory of his son Nick.
C3 Midlands were the runners up, and the winners of the longest drive and nearest the pin competitions were each rewarded with a bottle of champagne.
The day also saw a charity raffle and auction which raised £1378, bringing the grand total for the day to £5300.
A big thank you goes to Graham Ager, senior captain for 2018 and long-time volunteer for Heart Research UK who helped to organise the event.
