Fewer people are dying from cardiovascular disease in the UK.
However, every year coronary heart disease claims more women’s lives than breast cancer despite an estimated 8 in 10 cases being preventable through a healthier lifestyle.
So, while we urge women to continue being alert to signs and symptoms of breast cancer, we need them to also be aware of the risks associated with heart disease and to take action to become heart healthy. That's why we’ve teamed up with clothing company Damart. Together we'll be help you to understand the risks associated with heart disease and to make the small changes needed to protect your heart.
Through our #LovingHearts survey you have helped us to get a better understanding of what women know, and don't know, about heart health. This will help us to develop our advice for women.
Damart will also donate £4 to Heart Research UK for each of its 3-in-1 jackets sold during the #LovingHearts campaign - modelled by our Ambassador, Sally Bee from ITV’s Lorraine show.
