
Grain free blackberry apple crumble

6 large cooking apples
250 g blackberries (fresh or frozen)
2 tbsp water
4 tbsp honey
300 g ground almonds
100 g butter
50 g flaked almonds
Directions
- Peel the cooking apples and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
- Cook on a very low heat in a saucepan with the water and 2 tbsps of the honey until the apples start to break down. (around 30 mins).
- Add the blackberries and stir them through to distribute them evenly.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4.
- In a food processor, add the ground almonds, butter and remaining honey.
- Pulse until the ingredients are combined and the mixture resembles a crumble topping.
- Transfer the apple and blackberry mixture to an ovenproof dish.
- Stir the flaked almonds through the crumble mixture and spoon on top of the apple and blackberry.
- Bake for around 20-25 mins until the top of the crumble has browned slightly.
- Serve warm with cream, custard or frozen yogurt.
