Project Title: Have a Heart
Primary school children in Tower Hamlets, Hackney and Newham are being inspired by interactive workshops and the addition of a diseased human heart specimen display, set inside a distinctive orange pod suspended over working laboratories at the Queen Mary University of London.
Through a variety of engaging shows and learning activities around keeping healthy, pupils from Bangladeshi communities with striking health inequalities are being enabled to look after their own hearts and the hearts of others.
Listen to what Duncan has to say about the impact Healthy Heart grant funding and support is having on the hearts of this East London community.
If you know a Bengali speaking community who could benefit from some simple culturally sensitive information in their native tongue, download the simple leaflet below, produced in collaboration with scientists at Heart Research UK and Queen Mary University of London.
