A team of 11 from DS Smith completed the challenging Midlands Half Tough Mudder on 13 May.
They jumped, swam and crawled through the course raising a great £1300 for Heart Research UK.
The team that took part for Heart Research UK said the following about their Tough Mudder experience:
"Great experience that not only helped us to become a better and stronger team, but also to raise money for Heart Research UK."
Andrea Cardona Florido
“It has been a fantastic event for me as part of the DS Smith team. I didn’t spend a second thinking in what kind of mud I’m jumping into – it was just extreme fun. Amazing!”
"For an extremely good cause such as Heart Research UK, it was apparent very early on when fundraining that this is an issue very close to people's hearts and the support we received from both customers and suppliers was tremendous. With 25 people managing to raise over £3,000, it brought GKD's together from all around Europe, which was fanrastic. We had lots of fun, getting to know each other very quickly, in a dynamic and team orientated environment. The whole team needs to be very proud of their achievements and shows the culture of the company to allow future leaders to develop, express themselves and have fun whilst doing so for such an important and worthy cause."
“Glad we could raise a good amount for charity and a really enjoyable teambuilding exercise, can’t wait for next year”
"Tough Mudder was certainly a challenge but we proved that with teamwork and co-operation everybody can make it across the finishing line. The aches and pains that followed were definitely worth it when you consider the fantastic amount of money we managed to raise as a group for a number of worthy causes"
"Amazing experience and opportunity to raise money in a fun way - defenitely enjoyed the whole day and will do it again next year"
Anna Mari Hattako
"Such a wonderful experience! We worked as a team to complete the course (TEAM BUILDING!) and raised money for a number of charities! It was great!"
Sthefanie De Vries
"Pools of mud, tall walls and friendly hands to help you through – and all for a good cause. I’d recommend the event to everyone!"
