Please join us to celebrate 50 years of Helping hearts at our event at Leeds Civic Hall on Tuesday 31 January 2017.
Our celebration event starts at 7pm with a drinks reception, nibbles and the chance to meet Heart Research UK staff and other supporters. At 7.30 pm our Chief Executive, Barbara Harpham and TV personality Sally Bee will deliver a presentation thanking you for your support. It will include a few short video’s explaining how, with your valuable support, Heart Research UK has developed over the past 50 years and feature some wonderful projects we’ve supported and talk about how they have helped people to live healthier, happier and longer lives.
Proud to be based in Leeds, we have paid for £24m of medical research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease across the country. Many of the procedures and treatments we now take for granted, would not have happened when they did without our ground-breaking medical research, including one of the most reliable and durable (and Yorkshire made) replacement heart valves ever used. We also paid for the first successful UK heart transplants and are now pioneering the use of new technologies in heart surgery, diagnostics and the management of heart problems.
Places at the event are free, but we ask you to book your tickets by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0113 234 7474 before our registration closes on Monday 30 January.
