Heart Research UK were established over 50 years ago with the primary aim of funding research to make heart surgery safer. We have come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.
Heart diseases claimed 103,728 deaths in the UK in 2022 which led to thousands of lives being turned upside down and thousands of families being torn apart. We are determined to do all we can to change this. We want to create a future where there are no more deaths from heart diseases. But the truth is we can only do this with the help of kind and generous people like you. Your support can help fund pioneering medical research, vital community health projects, and masterclasses for tomorrow’s heart experts. With the selfless dedication of our supporters, we have invested over £34million pounds to ensure we invest in lifesaving research, benefitting patients as soon as possible. We will not stop until there are no more deaths from heart diseases.
Since 1967, we’ve been at the forefront of improving the detection and treatment of heart diseases. Find out more about our life-saving work and major milestones.
