Have you or your loved ones been affected by heart diseases? Your journey can help us shape our work and we can help you turn your experience into something truly positive.
Heart patients and their loved ones – people like you – are vital in driving progress against heart diseases. We are committed to involving people who have been affected by heart diseases across all areas of our work, particularly in research.
We need your help to ensure that the research community keep patients and their families at the forefront of their work, and that we fund only the best research projects that will have the greatest impact.
By joining our Patient and Public Network, you could help shape our work and save and improve thousands of lives. Let’s work together.
When you become part of our Patient and Public Network, you can get involved in a variety of projects, discussions and events that help shape the future of Heart Research UK.
Work with researchers to strengthen their research projects and with medical experts to determine which research projects Heart Research UK should invest in.
Collaborate with us to help inform our strategies, policies and information and resources.
Use your experiences to help identify the needs and priorities of people with heart conditions and their carers.
Represent your community to improve heart health and support our life-saving work.
Our Patient and Public Network is open to anyone aged over 16, affected by heart diseases and living in the UK. We welcome the thoughts and voices from people of all backgrounds, communities, and cultures. You don’t need any experience and everyone’s individual journey is important.
“I have gained confidence in joining the group and feel that my desire to help in some way has direction. It’s very important for patients and the public to be involved in research, so that the human story behind the research is represented. I believe that patients need more voices to advocate for them, improve patient pathways and provide more timely treatment.”
