PhD studentships give exceptional students the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and expertise needed for a career as a research scientist. Clinical and non-clinical PhD studentships can be applied for.

Clinical PhDs will be supported through shared funding with the institution. Heart Research UK will cover part of the salary up to the maximum amounts in the table above, in addition to consumables costs and tuition fees, with the host intuition paying the remaining salary costs.
