As part of our commitment to the development of the next generation of medical professionals and researchers, who will continue the investigations into improved prevention, treatment and cure of heart diseases, we co-fund two fellowship schemes.
The British Cardiovascular Society-Heart Research UK clinical fellowship scheme offers the potential for clinical top-up training, allowing candidates across the NHS workforce to gain new clinical skills or experience in a global centre of excellence. Three fellowships, one for an individual clinician, one for a team and one for an Allied Health Professional, are offered each year.
The Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery-Heart Research UK fellowship scheme offers up to four Travelling Fellowships to Surgical Trainees each year to learn and develop new skills to enhance their learning and local clinical practice.
