Angina is a type of chest pain that, whilst not dangerous, often indicates an underlying problem, in particular, coronary heart disease.

Current guidelines recommend a particular scan, known as a non-invasive CT angiogram, for all patients with suspected angina. This project will involve a large, UK, multi-centre clinical trial to test these guidelines compared to a personalised strategy of cardiac investigation.

The aim is to improve the investigation and management of patients with suspected angina, both in terms of NHS costs, and also patient experience and outcomes.
