Snowdon by Night

You will begin your trek in Llanberis. With head-torches to light the way, you’ll climb up the Llanberis Path, roughly following the route of the famous Snowdon Mountain Railway. As you climb, you get used to the darkness, and you begin to enjoy the silence and the remoteness, with incredible night sky views above. Your ascent will take 5 to 7 hours, and as you reach the summit you’ll realise it was all worth it.

The sky will start to lighten as you begin your descent – a much quicker journey than the way up – letting you enjoy the incredible views (sometimes all the way to the Menai Strait and over to Anglesey), and showing you how far you came in the dark.

This challenge takes place in May, June and August each year, and there are two different cost options for you. With each option you will pay a non-refundable registration fee to Discover Adventure. Then you have the choice of:

• Fundraising option – you commit to raising a minimum amount of sponsorship for Heart Research UK, and we will then cover the cost of your trip.
• Full payment option – you fund the entire cost of the challenge yourself. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement, we just ask you to raise as much as you possibly can.
