  • Trek
  • 20 miles
  • Yorkshire and the Humber
  • Entry Fee: £80
  • Minimum Sponsorship: £640

Day 1 of this incredible challenge will see you trek 12 miles in total, tackling the peak of Ingleborough first. Standing at 723m, from the summit you’ll soak up incredible views, including the sight of the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. After your descent and a walk parallel to the Settle-Carlisle railway, you’ll reach your next peak of Whernside. Ascending up to 736m, from the summit, on a good day, you can see views of Morecambe Bay to the west. You will descend Whernside and head to your camp for the night.

On day 2, you’ll start from Horton in Ribblesdale, taking the Pennine Way towards your third and final peak – Pen Y Ghent. On your ascent you will take in views of the peaks you conquered the day before. By the time you’ve climbed to the summit (694m) and descended back to Horton, you’ll have completed another 6-8 miles.

This challenge takes place in July and September each year, and there are two different cost options for you. With each option you will pay a non-refundable registration fee to Discover Adventure. Then you have the choice of:

  • Fundraising option – you commit to raising a minimum amount of sponsorship for Heart Research UK, and we will then cover the cost of your trip.
  • Full payment option – you fund the entire cost of the challenge yourself. There is no minimum sponsorship requirement, we just ask you to raise as much as you possibly can.

By taking on this challenge, you will create incredible memories knowing that your fundraising will help save lives.
