Day 1 of this incredible challenge will see you trek 12 miles in total, tackling the peak of Ingleborough first. Standing at 723m, from the summit you’ll soak up incredible views, including the sight of the famous Ribblehead Viaduct. After your descent and a walk parallel to the Settle-Carlisle railway, you’ll reach your next peak of Whernside. Ascending up to 736m, from the summit, on a good day, you can see views of Morecambe Bay to the west. You will descend Whernside and head to your camp for the night.
