“There is a growing body of evidence suggesting that diets including anthocyanins together with an active, healthy lifestyle, may be beneficial for cardiovascular health. Red berry grapes are one example of many fruits that provide beneficial polyphenols, which contribute to overall cardiovascular health, and can form part of a colourful, balanced diet.”
Dr Roy Jogiya
Chief Medical Advisor at Heart Research UK
“Polyphenols may help reduce inflammation and support blood vessel function in addition to acting as antioxidants. So rather than thinking about food solely in terms of their antioxidant content, we should simply think about consuming a wide range fruits, veggies and colourful foods for the most health benefit.”

BOOMBITES™ red berry grapes are a distinctive red-fleshed variety of table grape. Their vibrant colour comes from naturally occurring plant compounds called anthocyanins.
They are juicy, colourful and can be enjoyed in exactly the same way as other grapes, either as a snack or as part of meals and recipes.
Unlike traditional green or black grapes, BOOMBITES™ red berry grapes have a distinctive red flesh that runs from the skin towards the centre of the fruit. Their colour comes from naturally occurring anthocyanins, a type of polyphenol.
Polyphenols are naturally occurring plant compounds found in many plant-based foods.
Anthocyanins are one type of polyphenol and are responsible for many of the red, purple and blue colours found in fruit and vegetables. They also have antioxidant properties.
BOOMBITES™ red berry grapes naturally contain anthocyanins, as well as other polyphenols including resveratrol.
There is growing research into the relationship between anthocyanins and cardiovascular health.
The research review highlighted in the BOOMBITES™ partnership release found that higher habitual anthocyanin intake has been associated with potentially lower risks of cardiovascular disease and some cardiovascular risk factors. However, this research relates to dietary patterns and habitual intake of anthocyanins, it does not mean that eating BOOMBITES™ red berry grapes will prevent heart diseases.
The best approach is to enjoy a varied, balanced diet alongside other healthy lifestyle choices.
BOOMBITES™ red berry grapes are available from M&S and Tesco stores between August and October 2026.

Try adding a wider variety of fruit and vegetables to your meals throughout the day.
You could add berries or grapes to breakfast, include different-coloured vegetables with lunch or dinner, or choose fruit as a snack.
The aim isn’t to make every meal perfect, it’s to gradually build more variety into the way you eat.
