Greek yoghurt flatbread

Prep time: 5 minutes Cooking time: 15 minutes Total Time: 20 minutes
6 servings
Low saturated fat, Low sugar
Vegetarian

These quick and easy flatbreads are a heart-healthy twist on a classic. Made with wholemeal flour for added fibre, they help support healthy cholesterol and blood pressure. Flavoured with garlic and rosemary instead of salt, and made with fat-free Greek yoghurt for a lower saturated fat content, they’re perfect for dipping or loading up with lean protein and veggies for a nutritious lunch.

Method

  1. Add the flour to a bowl and create a well in the middle. Then pour the Greek yoghurt in and slowly combine the two.
  2. Once a dough is formed, knead with your hands for 5 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 equal sized portions and roll out into circles. Aim for them to be around 0.5cms thick.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic and rosemary.
  5. Heat a frying pan over a medium heat. Once hot, add in one portion of dough and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, until turning golden with some dark spots.
  6. Once cooked, bush over the oil mixture and serve.

    Ingredients

  • 225g fat free Greek yoghurt
  • 180g wholewheat self-raising flour (more for dusting)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder/granules
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped, or 1 tsp dried
