Starting just outside Newcastle city centre, the incredible Great North Run half marathon will take you over the Tyne Bridge, through Gateshead, into South Tyneside before finishing along the stunning north-east coastline into South Shields. Cheered on by fantastic crowds, with entertainment and music along the route and a finish line atmosphere like no other, your 13.1 mile challenge will be unforgettable.
We have a limited number of Great North Run charity places available each year, and at the minute, for 2026 they are sold out, though we’re trying to get hold of some more. Join our waiting list for Great North Run charity places and we’ll let you know if a place becomes available.
If you’re one of the lucky ones and have secured your own place through the Great North Run 2026 ballot, we’d love to have you as part of our team. All we ask is that you raise as much as you can, and you’ll receive all the same support as our charity place runners.
