Healthier and tastier version of a cupboard staple. This version is lower in salt and sugar, keeping your blood pressure low and protecting your heart.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp rapeseed oil

  • 1 onion, diced

  • 500 g passata

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp tomato puree

  • 400 g mixed beans, drained

  • 100 ml reduced salt vegetable stock

  • 2 tsp dried mixed herbs

Directions

  • Heat the oil in the pan. Once hot, add in the onion and cook until soft. 
  • Add the paprika and stir. 
  • Then add the tomato paste, passata, mixed beans, mixed herbs and vegetable stock. Simmer for 10-15 minutes or until thickened
  • Serve with wholemeal toast or a baked sweet potato and enjoy!
