This healthy, homemade tzatziki is a high-protein, heart-friendly dip that makes eating more vegetables both easy and enjoyable. Made with low-fat Greek yogurt, fresh cucumber, and herbs, it’s naturally low in salt, sugar and saturated fat – great for supporting heart health. Paired with crunchy veggies, it’s a delicious way to boost your fibre intake and keep snacking tasty.

Tangy Tzatziki Dip

Method

  1. Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture using a clean towel or some kitchen roll.
  2. Finely chop the herbs, mince the garlic and add all the ingredients to a bowl.
  3. Mix everything together and chill for at least 30 minutes to let the flavours combine before serving with your favourite veggies.

  • ½ medium cucumber
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or mint (or a mix)
  • ½ cup 0% Greek yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of salt
