Volunteers
We have a great number of volunteers donating their time and skills to help us with our life-saving work. Why not join us?
You will join a highly motivated team who help make sure that our events run smoothly, collections are counted, our new fundraisers feel supported and help us to take on heart disease.
We value our volunteers
You can decide how many days/half days you would like to volunteer each week – whatever suits you.
We are based in the centre of Leeds at Joseph’s Well, LS3 1AB and we can provide you with a parking space, but alternatively we are only a short walk from Leeds train station and we are surrounded by lots of bus routes, so access to us is easy.
We are the first to say that we are only as good as our supporters and volunteers. So we will invest in you, to help you feel confident in your role and enjoy a valuable and rewarding experience.
We will provide plenty of support, on-the-job training, resources and, where necessary, specialist training.
In our Leeds office, we are currently looking for people with the below skills:

Benefits of joining our team:
- Be welcomed to our friendly and passionate staff
- Grow in confidence as you gain new experiences, knowledge skills
- Gain a real sense of achievement as you achieve successes in your well-respected role
- Meet new people and inspire them with our values
“I’ve been volunteering with Heart Research UK since the early 2000s.
I help the research team with the medical research grants that we receive, assisting with processing all of the applications we receive.
My favourite thing about volunteering here is getting to work and spend time with all of the staff, who have always been very welcoming and friendly.”
Ethel Hayeems
