Taking on heart disease

2022 – 2026 and beyond

In the last five years, Heart Research UK has grown in scale and impact. Along with increasing the size and number of medical research grants that we fund, we have further developed our health promotion activity. This has enabled us to educate medical professionals undertaking lifesaving surgeries, advise school children on how to lead healthier lives, support communities with Healthy Heart Grants, improve the wellbeing of workplaces and support individuals from across the UK to make informed choices and lead healthier lives.

All of this helps us to do what we want to do the most. Improve the heart health of the nation, as soon as possible.

Over the last 18 months we have been consulting with our stakeholders, including our supporters, partners, grant-holders, volunteers, trustees and staff in addition to those who are directly affected by heart disease to produce this 2022 – 2026 strategy document which sets out our plans for the future.

We are all committed to taking on heart disease and our latest strategy illustrates out how we are going to do more to take on heart disease and keep those we love around for longer.

We will be continuously reviewing the status and progress of our strategic aims on this page, so please feel free to pop back here to see how we are doing.
